    Neurology Medical Lead - London, United Kingdom - Lifelancer

    About therole:

    Reporting into the MedicalAffairs Department you will be a key member of the Medical teamleading the Neurology portfolio whose primary responsibility is toprovide scientific guidance and interact with influentialstakeholders and healthcare providers.

    You willestablish peer to peer collaborations with physicians and othermedical experts to support trial management interact with patientorganisations and ensure that healthcare professionals have themost uptodate information about medical and clinical benefits ofPharmanovias products.

    The department has anethos of continuous improvement. This along with the rapid growthof the business leads to a varied and dynamic workingenvironment.

    Main responsibilitiesduties:

    • Directing themedical strategy for the therapeutic area. Setting up strategies totarget the most relevant HCPs for Pharmanovias therapeutic effortsand coordinate and align key messages to position Pharmanovia as acredible partner and provider of effective treatments andmedicines
    • Identifying developing andmaintaining professional relationships with international/nationalKOLs establishing peertopeer collaborations with key medicalexperts in the therapeutic areas covered by Pharmanovia
    • Leading and supporting clinical development initiativesincluding potential investigator site identification trialrecruitment registry and presentation of final approved datainvolving experts to generate scientific data includinginvestigatorinitiated trials (IITs)
    • Leading onmedical affairs initiatives including publication and communicationplans advisory boards medical education opportunities training andspeaker development
    • Connecting and engagingwith relevant patient organisations for the respective therapyarea
    • Serving as a scientific peertopeerresource to external disease experts and internalstakeholders
    • Supporting the medical communitywith uptodate medical information robust disease expertise andproduct information
    • Communicating clinicalinsights on new data to the company cross functionalteam
    • Leading and coordinating the gathering ofinsights from external stakeholders to support business strategysuch as product development product innovation and marketaccess
    • Define training needs and conduct thetraining of internal stakeholders on key scientific and medicaltopics relevant for the therapeutic area
    • Fostering crossfunctional collaboration with internalteams: Marketing Market Access Commercial Regulatoryetc.
    • Developing an understanding of theinternational landscape including specialties involved in care ofpatients
    • Generating national plans to provideneedsbased valueadded support of the medical and scientificcommunity inline with company goals
    • Usingsystems to strategically map identify profile and prioritisethought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals
    • Being a credible scientific expert in the giventherapeutic area and in the product(s)itself

    Aboutyou:

    • Candidates withat least five years medical industry experience are likely to havethe skills required to be successful in this role. We are alsolooking for:
    • An advanced scientific degree(PharmD or MD)
    • Medically trained in NeurologyEpileptology Internal Medicine or related field (the latter withproven experience in Neurology)
    • Minimum priormedical industry experience of 5 years
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Appropriate focus on performance and delivery
    • Must excel at working independently and incrossfunctional teams
    • Flexibility is a mustand able to demonstrate excellent time management skills andadaptability to new circumstances and ideas with a positiveattitude
    • Inclination to seek and analyse datafrom a variety of sources to support decisions and to align otherswith the organisations overall strategy
    • Knowledge of compliance requirements and adherence to allrelevant standards
    • An entrepreneurial approachto developing new innovative ideas that will stretch theorganisation and push the boundaries within the industry
    • Fluency in spoken and written business English
    • Travel will be required for this role
    • Team management experiencedesirable
