Engineering Excellence:
Lead mechanical and process engineering efforts across a variety of projects, ranging from designing renewable energy systems to optimising existing processes for efficiency and sustainability.
# Project Leadership:Your main role will be the mechanical and process lead for a number of related green gas projects, working with a small team to deliver engineering excellence.
Additionally, you will take charge of smaller-scale projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate complex engineering challenges from conception to implementation.
# Design and Analysis:Develop and analyse mechanical designs, including equipment layouts, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process flow diagrams (PFDs), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
# Apply your knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to develop innovative solutions and troubleshoot engineering issues as they arise.# Prioritise safety in all aspects of engineering design and operations, adhering to relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and the environment.
# Create detailed engineering specifications, reports, and documentation to communicate project requirements, progress, and outcomes effectively.
# Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and performance enhancement through data analysis and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Engineering Expert:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a solid foundation in mechanical design principles and processes.
You will be familiar with all mechanical concepts, operation and components in a typical gas skid, including valves, pressure regulation, metering, sampling, filtration, pressure and temperature and many others.
You will be familiar with the UK gas industry and have an understanding of many of the general concepts such as the different pressure classes, pressure reduction, odourisation, sampling and analysis, etc.
Proficient in engineering analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions to drive engineering solutions.
Project Management Skills:
Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and successful project delivery. This may involve the running and delivery of your own projects

Demonstrated interest in renewable energy technologies and a commitment to driving positive environmental impact through engineering innovation.
