    Senior Clinical Practitioner, Manchester


    Indigo Gender Service is a collaborative, innovative model of care between gtd healthcare, primary care, and the LGBT Foundation for the NHS.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Practitioner to come onboard.


    Indigo is a pioneering, localised and patient centred model that provides gender affirming healthcare for trans* and non-binary patients across Greater Manchester.

    As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, you will support GPs and other health and social care providers across Greater Manchester as a learning and educational resource, improving knowledge of trans and non-binary health issues.

    The clinician will act as a positive role model supporting junior staff whist working flexibly provide safe, clinical and expert care.

    They will participate in and lead change for the benefit of patients and/or the organisation and be a key member of the senior clinical team.

    The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible regarding travel and hours to suit the organisational demands.

    As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, your duties and responsibilities will include:


    To support relevant medical and associated administrative duties in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment and follow up of trans, non-binary and gender variant people.

    You will have relevant interest in the provision of gender identity healthcare within a primary care setting. Responding to clinical questions and queries from primary care.


    • Providing education and training.


    You will be motivated to undertake self-directed learning as well as further RCP training via the professional certificates for gender identity professionals, alongside gaining clinical experience of trans healthcare within the Multidisciplinary Team setting of Indigo Gender Service (funded by NHSE).

    You will be vital asset to the clinical team providing a link between the care navigators and GPs.

    Providing clinical advice and support to Indigos patients using a blended approach of face to face, telephone and video consultations.
