- Conduct clinical triage for all ENT referrals, ensuring appropriate onward referral to secondary care when necessary.
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of patients with ENT conditions.
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, and advice for acute ENT conditions in accordance with local referral guidelines.
- Offer advice, treatment, and support for self-management of ENT conditions, promoting patient empowerment and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping using clinical software and agreed-upon coding systems.
- Collaborate effectively with referring GPs to enhance clinical awareness and promote seamless patient care.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, including the timely reporting of significant events and participation in Clinical Governance Meetings.
- Demonstrate sensitive and effective communication skills when obtaining informed consent, delivering 'bad news', and supporting patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Act as an advocate for patients and colleagues, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed with compassion and professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical competence and stay abreast of latest developments in ENT care.
