Description
The Bid Manager vacancy will be based in the small village of Loanhead which is on the map of Lothians and located about six miles out of Edinburgh, this will be a permanent position working 37 hours a week Monday to Thurs (4 days) with flexible start and finish times.
As a senior member of the bids and proposals team they will be involved in coaching members of staff and to support the wider team in a range of business opportunities including spares, repairs and technical support services.
Coaching of bid team members and intern placement staff~ Management and preparation of high-quality value propositions in response to customer invitation to tender (ITT) documentation management and preparation of high-quality value tenders.
~ Prepare contract package and formally hand over to executing team
~ Experience of complex technical & commercial negotiations
~ Practical technical knowledge of heavy engineering and mechanical equipment
~ Strong numeracy and organisational skills and experience of using Microsoft packages.
~ Proven experience of engaging with board members and senior management
