- Conduct finishing and final inspections of machine parts to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist with final finishing operations such as polishing (manual and automated), part marking, and deburring.
- Operate machinery as requested, including changing and measuring parts.
- Perform final inspections based on customer requirements, including visual inspections, first article inspection reports, and dimensional measurements.
- Check and release first-off parts produced in the machine shop.
- Operate PC-driven measuring equipment for tasks such as, surface measurement, and contrasting.
- Complete all required QA documentation and file QA paperwork.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer proprietary information.
- Stay aware of quality requirements and health and safety responsibilities.
- Adhere to procedures for proper use and care of equipment, systems, and materials.
- Previous experience in a quality/inspection role within an engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and check measurements.
