    Description
    Mountjoy specialises inproviding professional and high-quality construction, refurbishment, building maintenance and facilities management services across the south of England.

    This mobile role will require cover for our contracts in Wider Hampshire, Horsham, Woking & Windsor however, there may be the requirement to cover our contracts based in Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & the Isle of Wight.

    This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

    31 days annual leave rising to 36 days with length of service (including bank holidays)

    Mountjoy provides professional and high-quality construction, refurbishment, building maintenance and facilities management services across the south of England to around 5,000+ buildings including, universities, Social Housing, Council buildings, Office buildings and Leisure Accommodation.

    We are seeking a conscientious and enthusiastic Regional Carpenter Multi operative with a can-do attitude and flexible approach.

    A wide variety of domestic and commercial carpentry repairs for local authorities (reactive and void works), education providers in occupied student accommodation, commercial buildings, lecture theatres, and offices and along with works in ancient monuments.

    The work will include fitting of various types of doors (inc Fire door), first and second fixing carpentry, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, Carpet tiling, plumbing repairs, and minor decorative works.

    To ensure that the quality of work always meets the highest possible standards.

    Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed.

    Maintain tools, plant, and equipment in a safe, clean and workable condition.

    To work within the Mountjoy group and assist other contracts as directed by the Contract Manager as and when the business dictates.

    Always maintain your company vehicle in a clean and tidy condition and report any defects to your Supervisor in a timely manner.

    Be an inclusive part of the team and be part of an on-call rota (Out of Hours)
    All aspects of kitchen installation with mitred worktop joints (internal & external) where applicable

    Able to use the phone to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly and concisely understanding what information you need or need to provide.

    A trade specific qualification minimum NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Carpentry
    Full current driving licence.
    Over 3 years trade experience in the building maintenance industry
