    Proposals & Bid Coordinator

    Overview

    New opportunity for a Proposals and Bid Coordinator to join our team in Crewkerne.

    Reporting to the Bid Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the bidding process for complete procurement lifecycle of key project-specific tenders as well as assisting with framework opportunities.

    In return for your hard work and dedication, the Proposals and Bid Coordinator will receive;

    • £32k to £35k per annum depending on experience

    We are a direct delivery specialist contractor to both the water industry and wider water environment, with an emphasis on delivering innovative, low carbon and high-quality reliable solutions. We currently hold 30 frameworks, and we work with most of the UK's water companies and the Environment Agency.

    What you'll be doing

    The Proposals and Bid Coordinator will work closely with the Bid Writer, subject experts, and other internal support teams.

    • Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from Delivery, commercial, SHWEQ, Finance and IT.
    • Coordinate bid-related activities including scheduling meetings, updating the bid log and managing deadlines to maximise available time for responses to be prepared and completed.
    • Provide support and assistance with technical responses, helping develop tender proposals including working with the subject experts to incorporate their content into the submission
    • Edit and proof-read submission documents to ensure accuracy and bid compliance, ensuring proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines and formatting.
    • Assist with the maintaining and continuous development of the bid library to provide a resource of industry standard responses which can be used to form the basis of future responses.
    • Monitor enquiries inbox and identify potential opportunities.
    • Liaise with the internal marketing team to highlight any new content which could be used in the production of project news or social media content.
    • Support the Bid Manager with uploading tender submissions and bid administration.
    • Assist with pre and post tender clarification management.
    • Where appropriate, take full ownership of general bid responses and supplier forms to alleviate workload from other bid team members.
    • Champion collaboration tools, document management, Bid improvement activities and version control best practices.

    Who we're looking for

    We are looking for that blend of practical working knowledge with academic understanding that can deliver with impact. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organisational skills, coupled with exceptional time management abilities.

    Essential

    • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and build effective relationships.
    • A flair for writing engaging and accurate documents.
    • Ability to work on several bids simultaneously.
    • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Highly IT literate (MS office 365)

    What we're offering

    The role is a national based role working from our Crewkerne office. There will be periodic UK wide travel and some overnighters will be part of the job. You will be empowered to manage your own diary and take full ownership of your workload with a high degree of autonomy.
