- Responsibility for the Design Team including daily task allocation and prioritisation
- Responsibility for standard product and Make To Order (MTO) specials, including technical requirements and compliance to standard (including but not limited to PED & PESR & various design codes)
- Liaising with Technical Manager regarding new product development prototypes and launch
- To ensure Design activities are carried out within expected time bound parameters and levels of accuracy
- Responsibility for Design for Manufacture
- Responsibility for department work instructions and procedures - creating, maintaining and training
- Demonstrable experience in Design disciplines
- A background in Manufacturing Engineering
- Demonstrable supervisory or people management experience
- Organisational skills - personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Communication & interpersonal skills - leading the Team, managing diverse personalities and points of view, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others
