    Default job background
    Full time
    Description

Join our dynamic team at AXA as a Risk and Cost Management Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR Chief Operating Officer and senior managers within the HR area. You'll serve as the first line of defence on all HR risk, compliance, and audit activities, while also embedding and supporting teams with the operational risk management framework in accordance with the AXA Group Standard.

As a Risk and Cost Management Analyst, you'll leverage your technical knowledge to assess the implications of risk and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how risk management can effectively contribute to business management. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in fostering a risk-based culture, conducting risk and control identification and assessments, developing action plans, and monitoring these activities via the SCALA tool. You will also provide support in managing the HR Team business as usual and project costs against budgets

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

    What you'll be doing:

  • Perform fieldwork to collect risk data from all HR C of E teams, processes and functions and investigate concerns raised by the teams or through data analysis.
  • Collate and prepare risk-based data to underpin key risk indicators, ensuring that risks and issues are effectively controlled.
  • Support the business in completing risk and control assessments, including conducting risk identification workshops, and keeping the SCALA tool updated whist ensuring the local controls are defined, documented, and evaluated regularly.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc business risk reports for submission to senior management.
  • Work with heads of People team to review risks and controls, considering ongoing projects and change and provide input where necessary.
  • Ensure escalation of Control issues and provide action plans to the People COO, to ensure awareness of what plans are in place to deal with deficiencies.
  • Lead the Controls Framework across People Operations team ensuring controls are reviewed on a regular basis, that they are being operated correctly and that they fully mitigate the risk and control objectives.
  • Support the People Team in managing their regular and project expenses by budgeting, forecasting, and handling monthly accounting tasks such as accrual, cross charging, reporting, and analysis, to support decision making and collaborate closely with finance stakeholders.
  • Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you're interested in joining us at AXA, please don't hesitate to apply.
