    Description

    This L200 Defendant law firm is looking to strengthen its Leeds office with the hire of an EL/PL Claims Handler. This firm promotes flexible working, and you will be required to attend the Leeds office once a week along with a wide range of benefits and a competitive salary package.

    The Claims Handler will be responsible for managing a caseload of Public/Employers Liability claims up to a reserve value of 50,000. This includes personal injury, product liability, and property damage. The handler will manage the claim from inception to settlement pre-litigation.

    You will have a minimum of 5 years claims handling experience to be considered for this role with experience dealing with quantum up to 50,000. You will also have significant experience dealing with complex liability and quantum issues.

    Key Accountabilities

    1. Proactively manage a caseload of Public Liability, Employers Liability, Product Liability, Property Damage claims
    2. Maintain accurate data on relevant case management system
    3. Comply with set client SLAs
    4. Ensure quality service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard
    5. Allocate new claims and set strategies
    6. Carry out supervisory tasks appropriate to the level
    7. Assist with training and mentoring team members
    8. Undertake appropriate additional tasks provided by the Team Leader
    9. Attend Client review meetings and assist with client project work where applicable
    10. Build and maintain excellent relationships with Clients
