- Making sure our customer expectations are met and orders placed on the mills are achievable
- Monitor incoming calls and emails, to ensure that orders and queries are processed in a timely manner
- Working with our Field Sales team on lead times and ensuring that all incoming orders are processed in a professional manner
- Liaising with our Operations and Sales Team colleagues, to ensure that production constraints are considered, and customer expectations are effectively managed
- Maintaining, and updating, a library of Standard Operating Procedures covering the general functions carried out by the team
- Supporting with training and development requirements of colleagues from the Customer Service team and other areas of the business
- Being able to prepare for, and attend, sales, and other meetings as and when required
- Previous experience of working in a busy office environment and customer-based service role
- Strong administration skills and good attention to detail
- The ability to quickly learn and understand systems, processes, and procedures
- Confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner
- Calm and composed with a strong emphasis on customer service and empathy
