    Description


    Operations ManagerCT19 have partnered with an early-stage biotech start-up combining AI and advanced high-throughput TCR screening techniques to revolutionise cancer treatment.

    The AI platform can rapidly design highly specific T-cell receptors (TCRs) to develop therapies.

    The client is looking for an Operations Manager (fully remote) to work alongside the founders taking charge of key operations.

    The role would include comprehensive management of Innovate UK grants, assisting with hiring, preparing R&D tax credit submissions, and expanding the company's lab space.


    Responsibilities:


    Fully managing various Innovate UK grants, including engaging with Innovate UK monitoring officers and accountants, and preparing quarterly update reports to ensure claims are submitted and approved in a timely manner.

    Assisting with hiring, including drafting job descriptions, and engaging with recruiters.
    Assisting with lab expansion, including engaging with lab space providers, and managing lab expansion and move logistics.
    Preparing R&D tax credit reports, including engaging with accountants and preparing quarterly technical and cost claim reports.
    Organising team building activities.
    Arranging conference attendance. Requirements - Skills & Qualifications:BSc in Biology, Immunology or similar is desired. 3+ years' experience in grant management compliance. Excellent financial acumen. Excellent attention to detail.
    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    Prior experience in hiring and liaising with external recruiters is desired. Prior experience in a multi-faceted operational role is desired. Prior experience in an early-stage startup environment is desired.

Ability to see the bigger picture, align grant opportunities with company goals, and plan for future funding possibilities. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various stakeholders, both internal and external. Versatile and flexible to adapt to the company's evolving operational needs as the team grows.
