    Introduction:
    As an IBM Application Architect, you play a direct role in assisting clients in transforming their business and tackling intricate challenges. Your expertise on IBM platforms enables you to define project scope and vision to deliver tailored solutions. Acting as a technical leader, you act as a bridge between business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

    Your Role and Responsibilities:

    • Data migration consultant role: Delivering data migration solutions globally, we seek a skilled Database and Data Specialist with a proven track record in both legacy and relational Database/Data migrations.
    • Responsibilities:
      • End-to-end delivery of data migration projects
      • Execution of all data migration tasks from logical data modeling to testing and documentation
      • Client-facing role ensuring effective communication and relationship maintenance with the project team
    • Experience with the IBM ModernSystems modernization Database and Data migration toolset is required.
    • Function effectively as a project team member.
    • Maintain a cooperative nature at all times.
    • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and work independently as needed.
    • Ability to focus intensely on complex projects.
    • Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices, applying new ideas when necessary.
    • Successfully transfer knowledge and solutions to relevant staff.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

    • Proven experience in relational database design, implementation, and administration in Oracle or SQL Server, including data migration and integration utilities
    • Legacy mainframe database implementation and administration experience in IMS, IDMS, IDMSX, RDB or DB2
    • Additional experience with non-database file systems such as VSAM is advantageous
    • Worked on large, complex data migration projects
    • Track record of Logical Data Modeling and Physical Database design
    • Good understanding of legacy programming languages, especially COBOL
    • Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Python, and Powershell
