    Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager - European Indirect Taxes to manage compliance, reporting and governance it's operation in the European region. This is a full-time role based in London.

    As a Senior Manager - European Indirect Taxes, you will work collaboratively with outside consultants and other members of the tax team to support all areas of Europe indirect tax compliance, planning, audit defence, and tax governance. This is an individual contributor role.

    To give you an idea of how this Senior Manager (European Indirect Taxes) role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

    • Monitor and manage indirect tax compliance to ensure Cognizant is compliant with local laws and policies to prevent potential issues with tax audits and regulatory bodies
    • Support the various finance teams concerning the VAT return review and reporting process for the European group entities to ensure accurate VAT reporting
    • Manage VAT registrations / VAT Group for the UK and other EMEA entities
    • Review the VAT issues under audit, perform audit readiness assessment, and co-operate with data requirements

    To apply for this Senior Manager - European Indirect Taxes role, you will ideally need a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, and must have a good level of relevant experience managing indirect tax for large multinational organisations or professional practice within Europe and UK. You will also require the following:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English)
    • Analytical and computer skills
    • Familiarity with large ERP systems
    • The ability to communicate and present indirect tax matters succinctly to management
    • Significant experience in indirect tax compliance and governance, and audit management
