Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to step up to management?

We are looking for a Team Leader for one of our small children's residential homes in Cardiff, supporting young people aged 12 and over with learning disabilities and / or mental health issues.

Someone who can lead by example and work with the manager to help manage the staff team and oversee the smooth running of the home.

You will need to have worked for at least 2 years in a similar environment with individuals with often complex needs and who can exhibit behaviours of concern.

A QCF level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care with the relevant child modules is essential.

The role includes:
- delegated HR duties such as managing rotas, agreeing objectives and work plans, carrying out

supervisions and appraisals, helping with recruitment, mentoring staff.
- hands on care and support, providing practical help and personal care and dealing

appropriately with any behaviours of concern.
- organising and supporting the young people we support to participate in community activities
- helping to develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, goal plans.
- interacting with external stakeholders - families and members of multi-disciplinary teams.
- being part of an on-call rota for which an additional payment will be made.

A clean driving licence which will allow you to drive one of the company vehicles is an advantage.

Salary:
£26,624.00-£27,456.00 per year
