Established in 2016, we now have close to 130 corporate members and are still growing. We are a not-for-profit organisation.The Executive Management Administration team of five, headed by our Managing Director, run the organisation on a day-to-day basis.
The team is supported by the REB board and committees, together with third-party providers for accounting, payroll, banking, media & public relations, website hosting and IT services.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for an Event Coordinator.Location:
work from home with travel to events requiredSalary range: competitive salaryJob category: Executive Management AdministrationPosition: full-timeDeadline: 17th May 2024Due to the increase in our memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.
This role offers a competitive salary and five weeks holiday per annum.Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programmeCreate events from conception to completionPromoting events to members, working alongside REB's external PR/Communications agencyManaging event registrations and guest listsResponsible for line managing the events administratorResponsible for REB events planning, logistics, analysis (report & presentation) and follow-up actionsAttending meetings with members re event planning and developmentReporting quarterly to the board and attending board meetings with the Executive teamDetailed ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage and deliver REB's event programme (working with MD and ED&I coordinator):Upload event listings to website;Prepare invitations;Liaise with host venues;Oversee registrations and communications;Obtain event feedback.
Monitor and evaluate events including reviewing feedback and attendanceCoordinate the CEO Breakfasts seriesMaintain the Events page on the REB websiteMaintain a database of venuesIdentify, approach and secure appropriate speakers and participants for eventsKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEEvents management and logisticsKnowledge (preferably working knowledge) of Microsoft Dynamics and MarketingKnowledge (preferably working knowledge) of current best practices and trends in EDI, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g.
allyship, unconscious bias, intersectionality, etc.)PREFERRED SKILLSWindows 10/Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other programsCRM and website content management systemsFiling and organisational skillsMinute taking and assigning follow-up actionsCollaborative working in a small team environmentWorking with board members/special advisors and committee members on reports, reviews, approvals and presentationsReal estate industry knowledgeThe preference is for the successful applicant to have their own laptop/desktop with printing/scanning facilities.
