To continue in our growth, we are recruiting a DevOps Engineer.

    What you'll be doing:

    As a DevOps Engineer at Monolith, you will sit within our Software team and play a key role in the expansion of our cloud offerings to include Azure. You'll manage our Azure tools, help the team learn to use them effectively, and ensure smooth operations.

    Our cloud services currently run on AWS, and we are porting the same functionalities to Azure. Our application runs on Kubernetes and is currently hosted on AWS EKS. All our infrastructure is managed in Terraform. As part of this role, you'll use Azure services like Azure Synapse / Data Lake Analytics, HDInsight, Data Lake Analytics to mirror our current AWS setup on Azure. Part of our stack also includes self-hosted applications like Temporal and Airbyte, all on Kubernetes. Other technologies that appear in our software stack include: Python, Flask, Redis, Postgres, React, Plotly, Docker.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the creation of the infrastructure as code for our platform on Azure with Terraform
    • Own the Azure DevOps across all our deployments
    • Integrate Azure management into our existing GitHub Actions CICD
    • Upskill the team to adhere to Azure best practices
    • Contribute to the development of our infrastructure as code on Kubernetes

    Required Skills and Attributes:

    • 7 years of DevOps experience (last 4 on Azure)
    • Autonomous in getting things started and completed, end-to-end - with little/no supervision while maintaining alignment with product & developers requirements
    • Excellent communicator, both at low-level with other developers and higher level with team lead and managers
    • Laser focused on identifying and progressing on the critical path, both for themself and others
    • Strong sense of ownership with an eye for details

    Nice to haves:

    • Golang or Python experience
    • Worked in a variety of different stage companies with a preference for start-ups
    • Experience working on other clouds
    • Familiarity with MLOps principles and practices, and their application in a production setting
