    Description
    Our client is a leading UK asset manager with nearly £50bn AUM.

    They are looking to hire a lawyer for their London office specialist in UK financial regulatory law, to provide high quality commercially focused regulatory legal advice to the Compliance team and the wider business, as well as assisting the firm on various strategic projects as the need arises.

    This is an opportunity to join a first class legal team, which highly promotes the continuous, ongoing professional development of its lawyers.

    As a result you will develop effective commercial skills and play a key advisory role to the business, ensuring you stay current with evolving legal and regulatory developments in the financial services sector.

    Providing efficient, effective and quality legal advice on UK financial regulatory issues, including but not limited to FCA and PRA rules, compliance requirements, market conduct and market abuse.

    Assisting the Legal and Compliance teams and wider business, ensuring that relevant current regulations are adhered to.

    Advising on future relevant regulatory developments affecting the Business, to assess their materiality, as well as assisting with responses to FCA and PRA consultation papers, and relevant trade bodies such as the ABI.

    Assisting with managing the firm's SM&CR framework and ensuring that the firm ensures compliance with its ongoing regulatory obligations.

    Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape in the UK and the EU and an understanding of major regulatory initiatives impacting the financial services industry.

    Experience on advising on regulatory compliance issues e.g. FSMA, COBS, the FCA's Consumer Duty, MAR and other relevant laws and regulations.

    Applicants will be considered from both law firms and in-house but must have qualified with a leading UK / US law firm.
