Process and Resource Improvement Manager - Swindon, United Kingdom - Neptune (Europe) Ltd
Description
At Neptune we like to do things a little differently. After all, this is what sets us apart from the rest. We design, manufacture, distribute, retail and wholesale luxury kitchens, stunning furniture and homewares and all the little things that make a house a home and the often unknown story is the one where we took the brave decision to do everything ourselves.
We don't just follow the usual path of operations, we are building best in class products so we aspire to plan and use our resources with equal detail and panache. Basics done well. We dig into the hidden depths of what's possible, what's right and ultimately, what's best. Our culture and our surroundings bring together teamwork and continuous improvement, identifying and driving these improvements. So, as part of the growth of our unusual, vertically integrated business, we're on the lookout for an experienced Process and Resource Improvement Manager to join us.
In this brand new, key role you'll be responsible for overseeing the allocation and utilisation of resources to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity around personnel, equipment and improvement of processes in line with expected volumes to meet the needs of our customers.
Day to day you will:
A key aspect of this role involves continuous improvement as we continue to grow you'll implement process improvements and best practices to enhance resource planning and allocation processes. You'll bring demonstrable experience in a previous similar role along with project management; successfully planning and managing resources within an operational or manufacturing environment, delivering projects on time and within budget, and hold a Prince 2 qualification or similar and a strong understanding of Six Sigma or similar. You'll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to juggle multiple priorities along with being flexible when these need to change. It's essential that you will be proficient in the use of ERP systems, Microsoft packages and demand planning software, with experience within a kitchen manufacturing environment being highly advantageous.
What Benefits we can offer you
Across all locations, we stay united by our company values: Do The Right Thing, Do It Together, Aim High and Keep It Real.
We're an equal opportunities employer; our mission is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams, with all colleagues and applicants afforded the same opportunities. We encourage everyone to join us and be themselves at work, in an environment that actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion and where everyone's voices are heard.
Our Story
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims-Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for the whole home. Recognised for our exacting standards, design-led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, we're perhaps most known for kitchens - with heirloom-worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune's trademark 'look' is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. We're also respected for our commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, we make things we're proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
