Role Overview

As a Healthcare Assistant you'll contribute to the delivery of care needs to the patients by assisting the team in providing a high standard of care and you'll provide support to the team.

What you'll do:

Welcome and receive patients, visitors, and colleagues to the Unit.

Always ensure the needs and concerns of patients and their friends/relatives are given thorough attention and a friendly and efficient service is provided.

Assist patients to orientate to the ward.

Report to a qualified nurse, any changes in a patient's condition that may require.

Refer patients', relatives', and colleagues' queries to the Nursing Staff.

Accompany patients (including their friends and relatives) between Departments.

Assist in patient hygiene and elimination procedures.

Transport Clinical specimens / Prescription charts, as directed, to the relevant Departments.

Provide direct basic technical assistance to medical staff as and when required.

Assist with observation and collection of specimens.

Assist the receptionist and nursing staff with any other clerical duties when required.

What you'll bring:

NVQ Level 2 (Direct Patient Care) or equivalent

Good communicator/interpersonal skills.

Good Verbal and written skills.

Previous experience within a hospital setting

Phlebotomy trained.
