    Job Opportunity: Automation Engineer in Leeds

    FDM, a global business and technology consultancy, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer in Leeds to join our client in the Public Sector.

    We are in need of an Automation Test Engineer to lead the development and implementation of an automation framework covering Front End and Back End systems. Your role will include running automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software developed by our team. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, software developers, and project teams is crucial for creating and executing test plans, test cases, automated tests, and reports on both functional and non-functional requirements in an agile environment.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Establish a robust automation test framework tailored to the systems and applications
    • Execute automated test cases in line with specified requirements to mitigate risks
    • Generate thorough bug reports and offer constructive feedback to development teams
    • Create tests focused on risk mitigation
    • Build an automation framework from scratch
    • Meet project deadlines and departmental standards
    • Effectively communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Cultivate strong relationships with third-party suppliers for multi-party testing

    Key Requirements:

    • Experience with BDD Technology like Behave or Cucumber
    • Skills in Python, API testing, Selenium WebDriver, SQL, and other Data technologies
    • Automation design and build expertise
    • Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
    • Proficiency in Performance testing
    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
    • ISTQB tester certification
    • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
    • Desirable experience with Azure Load Test
