Staff Nurse - Leicester, United Kingdom - University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust
Description
Are you looking for a new challenge or change in your career?
Ward 1 is an exciting and fast paced ward that delivers high quality care to children with congenital and acquired heart conditions and their families.
We provide surgical and medical care as in-patients whilst also facilitating some investigations and medication management on a day case basis, with promoting positive patient experience being at the heart of our care.
To achieve this we work collaboratively as a multi-disciplinary team together with our Children's cardiac outpatient department, Children's Cardiac Intensive Care unit, Children's Cardiac Specialist Nurses and the wider Children's Hospital here at Leicester Royal Infirmary and across the East Midlands Congential Heart Service network.
Children's cardiology provides a variety of opportunities for developing your skills and knowledge in this exciting and interesting specialty. We are a friendly, supportive and welcoming team who enjoy sharing our knowledge and expertise. You will be supported with an induction and orientation tailored to your experience as well be being able to work with our clinical skills facilitator.
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
o we are compassionate,o we are proud,o we are inclusive, ando we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
