    Description
    Playground Games is looking for a QA Manager to join our Fable team on a contract basis.

    As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun.

    We are excited to be rebooting the much-loved Fable franchise and are expanding our diverse team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.

    As QA Manager you will be working with the Quality Assurance team to deliver high-level deliverables.

    You will use your observation skills to help ensure that all work is bug free and of the highest possible quality.

    Our ideal candidate is a proven QA Manager who is passionate about games, has excellent communication skills, with experience developing robust test strategies and building an effective team.

    Provide deep insight and drive critical decisions that benefits the project
    Understand project requirements to set test strategy for project
    Understand the needs of external partners and ensure these are met by internal QA teams
    Create bug strategies to help deliver features and close out a project
    Identify risks and resolves complex issues via an established process and risk mitigation strategies
    Determine and track performance metrics for the team to measure progress and success
    Build an effective team and develop senior leaders for the future
    Mentor and line manage the QA department
    Understand project requirements to set hiring plans and resource allocation for project
    Use an understanding of the development lifecycle and previous shipping experiences to advocate for improvements
    Full game cycle experience on AAA titles
    A genuine passion for video games
