You will either be a qualified nurse or hold a clinical professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary profession and will lead a team of nursing and MDT staff to ensure clinical excellence and outstanding care are delivered at all times.

The ASD & LD Division
Our aim is to provide high-quality assessment, care and treatment, helping patients to progress to the least restrictive setting by equipping them with the skills required to live as independently as possible, closer to communities of their choosing.
Our teams are multi-disciplinary with extensive knowledge, skills and experience of working with individuals with ASD and learning disability. We include patients in planning their care, valuing and embracing each and every individual's unique qualities.
So what is the role?
As a Ward Manager you will have managerial and operational responsibility for your ward and will ensure mechanisms are in place to support, develop and monitor all aspects of performance. You will be key to ensuring the delivery of operational excellence and pivotal to the delivery of high levels of nursing and care by providing day-to-day support and operational leadership. You will proactively monitor standards and lead innovative processes to improve quality and the operational management of your ward.
As a positive and strong leader, you will set a clear and compelling vision for your team, you will be a visible presence who influences and supports consistently great teamwork and a positive culture. You will lead by example and motivate your teams to provide exceptional levels of care to your patients. As an enthusiastic and positive change agent, your dedication, professionalism and communication skills will inspire others to also go the extra mile and display high levels of performance in even the most challenging situations.

The Northampton site also has other services such as Low Secure, Medium Secure, Neuropsychiatry, Forensics, and CAMHS as well as our academic and research centre so great opportunities to broaden and develop your skills in the future too. It also has facilities such as a café, garden centre, charity shop, woodwork & ceramics workshop all staffed by patients and service users along with other facilities such as gym's and swimming pools for patients and staff to use and all based in over 150 acres of beautiful woodland grounds (please see link below for more details).
Northamptonshire is also a great place to live due to having great schools, very reasonable house prices and a good mix of facilities within the town as well as really nice villages and countryside too. Based in the midlands you have great access to the M1 and M6 and will be based under an hour's drive / train from London and Birmingham too.
