    Position: Sales Engineer - UK wide

    Industry: Mechanical Engineering / Industrial

    Location: Nottingham (hybrid)

    Overview:

    We are recruiting for an ambitious Sales Engineer to join this international Mechanical Engineering Group with UK office based near Nottingham. The company are very dynamic and a world wide leader in their field so this opportunity will suit an experienced Sales Engineer looking to join an exciting company and develop

    Responsibilities include:

    • Developing customer relationships across the UK
    • Maximising existing customers as well as developing new business and customers including OEM and distribution
    • Working closely with customers providing product support in association with technical / engineering teams
    • Reporting directly to the Sales Director
    • Responsible for promoting products to customers
    • Develop a multi-channel approach
    • Work closely with internal and external teams regarding market and product insights, trends, data and competitor analysis
    • Continuously improving customer experience
    • Work closely with Marketing - publications, marketing material etc
    • Travel across the territory - meeting customers, trade shows etc (approx %)
    • Weekly reporting and CRM system management

    Candidate Profile:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or Business related subject
    • At least 2-3 years' B2B sales or account management experience
    • Experience of industrial / mechanical engineering sector
    • Proven track record of sales and customer success in different channels - direct, OEM and distributor
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Customer focused
    • Happy to travel across the UK as required (approx 30%)
    • Ability to work well in a close team environment as well as independently
