Developer - Java, PL/SQL


We are partnered with one of the largest Employers in the region, a leading Russell Group University who are looking for an experienced Developer to join their Team.

A leader within their sector, they work in partnership with enterprise technology partnersand utilise cutting edge technology. They operate on a large-scale with over 30,000 users and has a world class reputation.

The post-holder will also work within multi-disciplined project teams, liaising with managers in other professional services.

You will be responsible for analytical and technical aspects of the delivery of IT systems and services in that area, working independentlyas required.

In addition, you will support the technical delivery of a range of projects and change initiatives.

Operating a Hybrid working model, there is a split of onsite and remote working.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a developer in a Java environment.
  • Experience of working within a defined departmental risk management approach.
  • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL or equivalent procedural database language and/or experience of programming in Java or C#.
  • Experience of programming using complex relational database structures.
  • Experience of HTML, XML/JSON, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Must be able to assimilate new technologies and complex data flows quickly.
  • Must be capable of producing high quality documentation for a range of audiences.
