    Procurement Manager

    Northamptonshire based - Monday to Friday on site

    Paying between £55,000 to £65,000 plus around £7,000 Car Allowance

    Morgan McKinley is currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join a well-known manufacturing company in Northamptonshire.

    We are seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Procurement Manager. Reporting directly to the Procurement Director, this position is vital for optimizing procurement operations.

    Your main responsibilities will include overseeing 30 sites and managing an annual spend of about £300 million. The focus is on streamlining procurement processes to reduce costs, and you will play a key role in achieving this goal.

    In this role, you will lead procurement activities related to packaging and raw materials. You will work with stakeholders to address supply challenges and implement best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the Purchasing Co-ordinator, participating in supplier negotiations, ensuring contract compliance, and overseeing procurement data systems.

    One notable aspect of this opportunity is the presence of a succession plan. The successful candidate will have the chance to advance to a Director role as the current Procurement Director plans to retire. This makes the position not only crucial for the present needs of the organization but also an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

    The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in procurement operations, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Recent experience in a large, fast-paced business setting is essential for success in this role. A CIPS qualification would be a plus.

    Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from Northamptonshire, as on-site presence is required for all working days.
