    Description
    We are a UK manufacturer of building integrated photovoltaic roofing solutions for the commercial, industrial and residential sectors. We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer.

    Skill Set:
    Motivational, focused results-oriented leadership capable of extracting the best from team.

    Knowledge of renewable energy and or solar power and its role in building design, its applications and its marketplace.

    The business acumen and global contacts to exploit it commercially.
    Knowledge and experience of established modern manufacturing techniques.

    CEO / Managing Director / CCO level experience leading businesses, defining its strategy and building a team to exploit the opportunity.

    Knowledge of statutory regulations.

    Knowledge and contacts with the Building Envelope / Construction sector and or solar PV sector, the route to market.

    Commercial Experience of developing national / international markets and business.
    Knowledge and experience of quality systems and implementation.
    Leadership and General Management.
    IT literate


    Responsibilities:

    Legal and compliance To assure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    Mission, policy and planning To lead in conjunction with the board, the development of the company's strategy.
    To lead and oversee the implementation of long and short-term plans in accordance with the strategy.

    To ensure that the organisation is appropriately organised and staffed and structured to enable it to achieve the approved strategy.

    To assess the principal risks of the company and to ensure that these risks are being monitored and managed.

    Management and Administration To ensure that the expenditures of the company are within the authorised budget of the company.
    To ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.
    To act as liaison between the management and the board.
    To communicate effectively with shareholders, employees, government authorities other stakeholders and the public as appropriate.

    To ensure that the directors are properly informed and that sufficient information is provided to the board to enable the directors to form appropriate judgements.

    Governance In concert with the Chairman to develop board agendas including special meetings.

    In concert with the Chairman to determine the date, time and location of the annual meeting of shareholders and develop the agenda for that meeting.

    To abide by internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with applicable laws and the company standards and policies, including its environmental, health and safety policies to create a safe working environment.

    To ensure the integrity of all public disclosure by the company.
    To ensure that the company maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility. Financing Oversee the fiscal activities including budgeting, reporting and auditing.
    To work with board to ensure financing to support short, medium and long term goals of the business.
    Lead securing of additional funding as required for future rounds.
    Maintain relationship with the company bank and other key partners as appropriate. Commercial Lead the development of supply chain partners and working agreements with them.
    Lead product definition and evolution to optimise needs v cost v performance.
    Ensure / maintain customer focus within business.
