    Description

    Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Production Manager. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

    This Production Manager position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, the successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of up to 100 colleagues to provide a safe, high quality, efficient and cost-effective production services for Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services (LTLGS) and its customers. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements and procedures. Engage in the LTLGS strategy and finance plan development. Deliver robust plans to achieve business and operational performance targets.

    Role Responsibilities will include:

    Driving Business - Think and act as part of the LTLGS organisation, ensure safety is your number one priority. Hard wire commercial thinking into your actions by taking calculated risks and balancing quality, costs and delivery impact. Ensure speed and discipline in task execution. Take consequences of your decisions into consideration, look for pragmatic solutions and always make sure that our customers and our authorities can trust us.

    • Accountability for the team/s Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards as laid down by nominated authorities and corporate/company procedures.
    • Challenge the team to continuously strive for higher standards and to exceed defined targets.
    • Required to manage interfaces with other production and support departments to optimise efficiencies.
    • Encourage team development via the implementation of lean working principles.

    Skills and Experience required:

    • Evidence of people management experience within an operational, unionised environment
    • Use of proven communication skills, engaging and influencing at all levels.
    • Proven experience of delivering sustainable change
    • Proven experience in performance management.
    • Coached and identified development areas for self and teams.
    • Excellent understanding of MRO operations and processes.
    • Broad-based knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements.
    • Extensive experience in budgetary issues, business measures, report and business case writing skills
    • Excellent process improvement and change management knowledge.
    • Working knowledge of Health & safety Regulations.
    • PC literate; ability to input and manipulate data using multiple platforms (e.g. SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Degree relatable to engineering or HND/HNC in an aircraft maintenance or engineering discipline.
    • Right to work without restrictions in the UK.

    Must be available to work between 7am and 7pm, but 8 hour working day within those times. Flexible working hours to support project delivery or communication with oversea clients.

    Some overseas travel is considered necessary to develop business relationships.
