    We're seeking an experienced Application Engineering Consultant with a strong background in chemical engineering and/or chemistry. You will join our Project Delivery Team , whose members i nterface directly with existing and prospective clients.

    You'll be responsible for delivering consulting projects, identifying new opportunities within existing clients, presenting OLI's technology in sales meetings, training new clients, and providing application support to OLI's client base.

    You'll also work with Product Development, Research, and Digital Transformation to improve our technology offering.

    OLI is growing in all industry verticals (Oil and Gas, Metals and Mining, Wastewater Treatment, Power Generation) and delivering world-class solutions via consulting projects with high value simulations to customers.

    Here are some of the key areas where you'll help


    OLI:
    ~ Consulting :
    Help the team close process consulting opportunities. Perform the consulting work and deliver the results. Identify areas/opportunities for additional consulting services and/or software solutions (desktop and cloud applications).

    Application Support :
    Provide first-line support to clients; and help clients extract more value from the software. Serve as the technical liaison for assigned accounts, building client confidence in OLI solutions, and maximizing the client experience.
    Develop novel application solutions to address new market opportunities with standard components for ease of deployment.

    ~ Training :
    Deliver training workshops and seminars to clients on-site and remotely.

    The candidate must possess exceptional client-facing skills and a strong, extensive background in chemical engineering or chemistry. Language
    ~ Fluent in English (speaking and technical writing), other languages a bonus

    Bachelor's Degree (BS) in chemical engineering, chemistry, or natural science (required)


    At least five (5) years' experience working as a Chemical Engineer in one of the following industries: Oil and Gas, Metals and Mining, Wastewater Treatment, or Power Generation.

    (A t least three (3) years' experience using and applying chemistry-based process simulation software (highly desirable).

    Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Process Simulation

    Applying simulation to process engineering as it relates to Crude Oil Refining, Production/Exploration of Oil and Gas/Geothermal Production, Wastewater Treatment, Metals and Mining, or related industries.

    Have field experience. The candidate has run process units, supported process units, or serviced process units.

    Ability to effectively engage clients virtually (phone/web/on-site)
    Willing to travel up to 25%, including international travel
    Computer literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools (Salesforce)
    Entrepreneurial spirit to develop solutions using OLI software products to solve customer problems
    Knowledge of asset life cycle, maintenance maturity levels, and other Operational Excellence programs/concepts

    Desirable:
    an understanding of software development, particularly Python programming and APIs.
