    Description

    Job Title: Children Home Team Leader

    Limetree Recruitment are excited to look for possible candidates to work for a large Children's home provider.

    Overview: As a Children's Home Team Leader, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a children's home or residential care facility. You will lead a team of dedicated staff to ensure that children under your care receive the highest standards of support, care, and guidance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of residential care workers and support staff.
    • Supervision and Training: Oversee staff schedules, conduct regular team meetings, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and performance.
    • Child Care Planning: Collaborate with social workers, counselors, and other professionals to develop and implement individual care plans for each child.
    • Quality of Care: Monitor and maintain high standards of care and support for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
    • Behavioral Management: Implement behavioral management strategies and interventions to support positive behavior and development.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing child welfare and residential care facilities.
    • Communication: Maintain effective communication with external agencies, families, and stakeholders involved in the children's care.
    • Crisis Management: Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations and emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's care plans, incidents, and progress.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (preferred).
    • Proven experience working in a residential care setting with children and young people.
    • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
    • Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
    • Compassionate, patient, and resilient with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Clear criminal background check.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (if applicable).
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
    • First aid and CPR certification (desirable).
