Recognised as one of the best places to work by Great Place to Work UK, our client, a Digital Wealth Management Firm, requires an experienced Head of Technology Governance, to join the team in their London Offices.

As a business, their focus is on the personal relationship they develop with customers, underpinned by multi-channel customer reach and global investment expertise via a digital Investment Management platform. Entirely in the cloud, taking advantage of powerful commoditised offerings, the firm are building a bespoke cloud-native solution.

As the Head of Technology Governance, you'll oversee the efficient management of the firm's Technology business. This includes financial management, resource planning, strategy alignment, delivery of the SOX-based technical risk and control framework, business resilience (including operational resilience and DORA), and all related reporting and stakeholder management.

Your role is pivotal in providing assurance across these critical areas.

Reporting directly to the CTO, and maintaining senior relationships across the firm and Technology Leadership, you will bring subject matter expertise, and a proven ability to deliver, with strong communication skills.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and your role will be centred on owning, facilitating, and perpetually enhancing the Technology Governance functions and processes.

Collaborating with colleagues globally across Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit (both internal and external), you will establish frameworks and deliverables to ensure that technology fulfils its obligations from financial, strategic, assurance, and regulatory standpoints.

The Salary on this Head of Technology Governance Role is a highly competitive Base + Bonus + Benefits Package.

The firm operates a hybrid model of working, with 3 days per week in the office, based in London City with major tube stations close by, including Liverpool Street and Moorgate.

Essential Requirements:

Experience in leading Technology Governance for a US listed organisation ,
Experience of managing Technology deliverables within a regulated SOX environment
Practical experience of managing stakeholders across COO, CRO, Operational Risk, Audit and Compliance.
Practical experience of working with Quality Management Systems, ideally with ISO27001 Foundation certification or above.
Risk Management – experience of facilitating the management of risks, ideally with a formal accreditation (e.g. ISO31000 or Management of Risk).
Business Resilience – Member of the Business Continuity Institute, or ISO22301 certified, with experience in delivering Operational Resilience and DORA requirements.
Program delivery principles – Understanding of Agile methodologies, Program Management Office objectives and the tracking of strategic objectives and benefits realisation.
Oversight of Financial management within a large Technology organisation.
Understanding of ITIL disciplines required to design, develop, transition and operate technology services, ideally with a formal ITIL v4 certification.
Practical experience of delivering against Supplier Management frameworks in a regulated environment.

What you will do:

Manage Technology Management function including Finance, People, and Strategic delivery, ensuring alignment with Project delivery methodologies.
Oversee Technology Finance, including approvals, allocations, and cost reporting.
Provide strategic oversight and reporting for alignment with organizational goals.
Track and manage Resource planning effectively.
Implement structured reporting for stakeholder analysis.
Manage Technology Suppliers in line with policies.
Coordinate purchasing and renewals with IT Category Manager.
Lead Risk and Controls team, embedding appropriate controls.
Support evolution of controls to SOX framework.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and assist with procedures.
Collaborate with Operational Risk to monitor key risks and Manage Business Resilience team for continuity.
Maintain testing schedule with IT Service Continuity Manager.
Continually improve Technology Governance.
Monitor process performance and close gaps. Provide support for Internal and External Audits. Adhere to operational risk framework and company parameters.
Demonstrate highest standards of integrity and conduct.
Comply with FCA's Code of Conduct and internal policies.
Promptly report policy breaches and escalate risk events.
