    Vacancy - Facilities and Contract Management Support Engineer

    Are you excited by the opportunity to be responsible for ensuring building, areas and services are suitably maintained to allow their occupants to carry out their duties? Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional with experience in an Engineering environment? We are seeking a Facilities and Contract Management Support Engineer to join our team based in Liverpool and help us keep the world moving

    Your Role

    You will be responsible for assisting in the front line management of the day to day delivery of facilities management services across the Port of Liverpool. You will be the primary point of contact for all building related issues, logging reactive tasks on the in-house SAP system for tracking purposes. Pro-actively managing the on-site service providers for both soft and hard services, you will ensure set KPIs are met.

    You will organise statutory compliance for required areas, keeping records relating to Fire Systems, Electrical Testing, Legionella and Asbestos, managing performance of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks and ensuring they are carried out as per agreed schedules utilising approved service providers. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, through regular communications and formal review meetings where necessary.

    What you'll bring

    You will have proven experience in a Facilities Management or Building Services role, ideally gained within an engineering environment. You will be aware of building regulations and statutory requirements, alongside knowledge of H&S, environmental and engineering legislation. With excellent organisational skills, you will have the ability to manage large workloads and external service providers.

    You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers. You will have strong commercial/financial acumen with previous budgetary awareness, management and control experience.
