    Description


    Demand Planning (Merchandising) refers to the process of forecasting the sales trends, both future and in-season, for our D2C channel.

    The Demand Planning team works closely with the Digital Trading, CRM and Marketing teams. A Demand Planner will have a strong analytical ability, recognising patterns in large data sets.

    They will work closely with the Product Merchandisers to map new season product to current sales and feedback the sell-out results highlighting the seasonal best & worst sellers, giving detailed reasons why anything has fallen into either sector.


    The Responsibilities:


    Generate timely and accurate demand plans for all product classification on a Monthly/Seasonal basisSupport the Planning Manager decision making with consideration and scenario'sPrepare end of season analysis, category buy plan and ROS analysis for seasonal range planningPlan new product launches and liaising with Digital and Supply chain teams to ensure successful and timely launches.

    Work with the Planning manager to track and support improvements in forecast accuracy on a monthly/seasonal basisAssist in risk assessment & mitigation activitiesSuccessfully manage MSSIs ensuring accurate sales, stock and intake information is updated and used to forward forecastPrepare and present information for monthly buy meetings for all Digital Regions to review forecast accuracy, sales performance, cover and closing stocksManaging monthly line cards and reviewing with Planning AssistantWorking closely with the Planning Manager to minimize weeks cover & maximise stock turnTake ownership for Markdown and Promotion management, reviewing overall markdown plans and pricing.

    suggestions by line to help hit Financial forecastsEnsuring product availability and intake dates are maximized for business needsIdentify opportunities to optimize inventory and meet customer demands within the Digital channelAd hoc analysis across the planning teamThe Person:
    Strong merchandising background is essentialexperience of Range Planning and forecasting within fashion or the footwear industryDigital and/or Retail experience preferableAdvanced user of Microsoft Excel is essentialKnowledge of Tableau would be an advantageLooking for someone confident to work with Senior Management partners to elevate the Planning processYou've got the hunger for hitting the numbers and happy to talk to about themHappy to 'Geek Out' and obsess over KPIsYou'll be a proactive person enthused by the results of your team and your divisionExcellent multi-tasker who isn't afraid of a challengeCommercially savvyYou'll be on the pulse with all channels of activityPositive attitude and of course, a great sense of humourStrong judgement, drive and influenceHard working, self-motivated and great communicatorEnjoys working within a teamCalm temperament under pressureBenefits:Private health or dental insurance
