A unique opportunity has arisen within Linde Material Handling for a National Key Accounts Sales Director.


We are looking for someone established within the material handling industry to help us shape and grow a developed department into a dynamic team.

You will help develop our blue chip customer base, increasing the profitability of the area whilst growing the opportunities to expand the business.

Utilising your industry knowledge and experience you will manage, coach and develop the sales team, demonstrating how you are a results driven leader that is capable of improving performance whilst raising the team to new heights.

As someone passionate about process you will be constantly looking to improve and develop more robust processes. We are more than just our products, we provide solutions to our customers adding value to their intralogistics processes.

What we offer:


  • Achieve business objectives for NKA within designated customer accounts (OI, Net Sales, Profit).
  • Manage and develop the National Key Account sales team to ensure they effectively manage the account portfolio and pipeline including renewals; through the EOC process Market share & Coverage.
  • Implement strategic account plans with the team utilizing the CDP process.
  • Achieve order intake targets as set out by the company.
  • Ensure sales revenue & profit margins targets are met.
  • Make sure the team receive effective performance management in line with KION values.
  • Ensure the team implement effective customer engagement & value selling.
  • Build the Sales team skill set through effective mentoring and coaching in the field.
  • Manage the team capacity requirements.
  • Proactively monitor the CRM activity of the sales team.
  • Identify any health and safety concerns and advise any necessary recommendations, for both LMH employees and our customers.

Tasks and Qualifications:


  • Proven track record of delivering successful territory and key account development.
  • Strong strategic understanding & experience in successfully executing strategic plans.
  • Ability to increase market share from a respectable starting position
  • Strong leadership skills with the experience and credibility to create a market leading team/individual performance from a dependency culture
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience supported with project management skills
  • Experience of increasing sales efficiency and customer contact through effective use of CRM system
  • Commercially competent and able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to successfully win business from complex tender and purchasing processes
