    Description

    A successful food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Senior Production Planner/Supply Chain Manager (Designate) to join their busy Essex-based team.


    The Role:

    The appointed Senior Production Planner / Supply Chain Manager (Designate) will fulfil and manage all tasks relating to the efficient operation of warehouse & logistics departments including goods in, goods out, logistics, storage, organisation and continuous improvement to ensure goods are dispatched on time and in full and customers' expectations are exceeded.

    The successful candidate will also assume the following responsibilities:

    Planning function, including Master Production schedules, actual quantities against planned quantities
    OTIF, implementation of MPS, MRP and ERP
    Inventory holding, with no customer shortages
    Attendance at daily/weekly/monthly meetings to report on areas of responsibility and action plans for improvement
    Design and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure labour and plant utilization via capacity planning
    Acting as the point of contact for all customers regarding core business
    Leading, managing and developing a team of people through your direct reports


    The Requirements:
    The ideal candidate will display the following qualities:
    An experienced Production Planner or Supply Chain Manager (3 years' experience)
    Strong understanding of planning functions, stock management and material requisition
    Excellent understanding of PC-based office packages, Ideally Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
    Solid understanding of SAP/MRP
    Sufficient numeracy for both analysis of figures and commercial negotiations
    Negotiation skills appropriate for commercial transactions
