We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Hours: This is a full time role, hours per week, and you will work on rotational shifts, including nights and weekends. Shift patterns are: 7am - 8pm 8am - 9pm 9am - 10pm - Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to 27,195 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?

Main duties of the job

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients

Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback

Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:

Hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent

Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach

Be able to evidence their Continued Professional Development (CPD)

Although not essential, a Driving License and your own vehicle would be beneficial due to the location of the site
