    Within Steel, Alloy Steel including Stainless Steel is gaining a lot of traction in Automotive, Batteries, Aerospace, Specialised machinery, and other segments.

    Industry stakeholders across the value chain will need to understand the key drivers and trends impacting the industry in both the near term and long term.

    Miners, steelmakers, auto firms, investment bank, and financial institutions will need to be well versed with research and analytics for more informed decision making.


    The Research Manager – Steel Alloys will apply solid analytical capabilities and knowledge to enhance Wood Mackenzie's analysis and services to customers.

    Reporting directly to the Head of Steel and Raw Materials, you will be responsible for developing a good understanding of our clients' interests and provide frequent, rigorous, and sharply written analysis as part of our publication schedules.

    Author differentiated market analysis and thought leadership pieces on topical themes surrounding the alloys space.

    Develop and maintain contacts with industry stakeholders to gather intelligence that will enrich the quality and timeliness of our research solutions.

    Effectively communicate our research and analysis to clients.
    Collaborate and work with our consultancy business on periodic projects.

    Work closely with colleagues in allied groups like steel and non-ferrous metals to help shape the company's integrated view.

    Mining/ Geology/ Metallurgical Engineering or Economics/ Business etc.)
    Excellent numerical analytic capabilities, including problem-solving and technical skills in Excel
    Systemic work-load management and planning skills
    Good networked in the industry with contacts across the value chain
    A strong commitment to commercial excellence and ability to deliver the high-quality standards
