    ASSOCIATE REGISTRAR, SYSTEMS and PROJECTS

    Directly reporting to this position is the Assistant Registrar, Systems and Projects.

    The Associate Registrar, Systems and Projects conceptualizes, directs, initiates and completes complex projects related to the systems and business processes used by the Office of the Registrar that involve KPU's Student Information System (SIS) and integrated systems.

    They ensure project management principles are followed, overseeing project and test plans, schedules, resources, and monitoring the quality of deliverables.

    They partake in the development and application of KPU policies, ensuring compliance relevant to each unit.

    The Associate Registrar provides leadership for practices related to student records, and the alignment of business processes with university policies to ensure the integrity of student data and provide oversight of operational student reports.

    The incumbent works closely with the other Associate and Assistant Registrars on the development, management, delivery, maintenance and benchmarking of services, systems and related policies for the department.

    In addition, the role hires, trains, develops and evaluates performance of staff.
    Minimum seven years of experience in a Registrar's Office at a college or university.
    In-depth knowledge of BC and Canadian post-secondary education systems, governance and policies.
    Proven record of effective team management to improve service quality, staff productivity and efficiency.
    Demonstrated ability to provide direction and manage a number of complex projects to their successful conclusion.
    Demonstrated analytical skills, including problem-solving and needs analysis.

    Demonstrated experience using an enterprise SIS including systems testing, systems and business process analysis and documentation, preferably in a post-secondary environment.

    Demonstrated experience using database reporting tools that include authoring SQL in an enterprise database system.

    Demonstrated understanding of strategic enrolment management concepts and academic policies and processes that contribute to a quality undergraduate experience.

    Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations.
    Successful experience training and managing staff.
    Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Inter-campus travel is required.

    The compensation range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary (as listed above) for a position.
