    Description

    Our client who designs and manufactures production line equipment are keen to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in a small team to produce designs/drawings for mechanical systems and equipment.

    What's on offer? 37.5 hours per week on flexitime basis 23 days holiday plus discretionary days and bank holidays Life and accident insurance available immediately Pension scheme available after 3 months with company contribution of up to 8% after 2 years' servicePrivate healthcare scheme after 2 years.


    Duties:
    Using AutoCAD and Inventor to produce designs of enclosures, conveyors, ductwork, equipment layouts and other mechanical itemsProduce BoM's schedules, schematics and sub-assembly drawingsMake modifications to drawings to reflect changes in designAct as liaison between drawing office and other departments

    Requirements:

    Must have worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an industrial design roleMust have a recognised engineering qualificationA working knowledge of Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Autodesk Vault preferableOther 3D CAD software knowledge may be considered, such as SolidWorks etc.

    Experience of working to BS 8888 drafting standards would be a benefitMust have a good understanding of engineering techniques, including machining, sheet metal and fabricationMust be able to interpret equipment assembly drawingsCandidates who require sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible to apply for this vacancy.
