    You will have access to the firm's resources and Know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.

    Simmons Adaptive is the flexible resourcing team for leading international law firm, Simmons & Simmons. Simmons Adaptive is currently searching for a Data Protection Consultant to support on an external client assignment.
    The successful candidate will assist on the company's data protection and privacy project including:

    Assisting the Privacy Counsel on day-to-day data protection governance such as preparing material for risk committees and board meetings.

    Refining the existing internal data privacy related procedure such as data subject requests.
    Assisting the Privacy Counsel to produce internal data privacy training material.
    Data processing across the whole organisation.
    Ensuring data compliance and GDPR implementation.
    DPA, DPIA's, SAR's and advising on data breaches.
    To be the main point of contact for any data privacy queries for the wider team.

    You are a qualified lawyer with training from a top tier practice with strong post qualified experience in data protection/privacy in a legal setting.

    You will have strong knowledge of major data protection laws in the EU and UK such as GDPR, UK DPA, PECR and EDPB.

    You are experienced in implementing data protection requirements into practice.
    You have a strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the value drivers of a business.
    You will have access to high-quality roles and work within Simmons & Simmons' market-leading clients.
