- Work in partnership with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental team to ensure that QHS remains the number one priority, by working within the guidelines of an Active Risk culture.
- Ensure that service excellence is delivered, which includes the following
- Assist the Operations Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity, to improve and enhance revenue and productivity.
- Ensure proactive and effective customer communication.
- Build and maintain a high performing culture through effective driver communication and engagement.
- Create a customer excellence approach & culture
- Provide advice to customers in respect of service and recycling options.
- Resolve day to day customer service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensuring all operational key performance indicators are met and improvement plans are implemented where appropriate, specifically relating to Customer Service and WIMs KPIs
- Implement service practices that meet the customers' needs
- Work closely with Regional and National Account Managers, CET and the Sales Team to maintain and foster good customer relations.
- Maintain a "zero harm" safety culture within depots
- Ensure service delivery, in line with customer expectations;
- Ensure Veolia legal compliance on site - WTD and transport compliance
- Lead, manage and develop all direct reports
- Ensure operational efficiencies
- Implement standard and Veolia work practices to ensure activities conform with company policy, procedures and relevant legislation;
- Previous experience of operating within a similar industry; waste/transport/logistics
- Experience operating within a customer-centric environment
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of transport compliance and WTD
- Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels specifically including drivers and frontline employees
- Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace Working with a quality management system e.g. ISO
- Managing transport compliance
- Experienced IT Skills, MS Office 2000 and the ability to adapt to Google
- Managers CPC desirable
- Proactive on knowing upcoming legislation changes and remains up to date on activities and changes within our sector
- Knowledge of operating other waste management facilities
- Intermediate-level IT skills
