We have a newly created opportunity for an IT Network Team Leader to lead a team of Technical Support Consultants (Network Engineers) who ensure the smooth running of IT systems, particularly in lead areas, to ensure the best service to the company is maintained.

As the IT Network Team Leader, you will be providing the Wessex Water business with an outstanding service and support experience while being part of and managing a highly technical team.
The provision of this service will be underpinned by motivating and coordinating the activities of the Network team, driving improvements through the effective management of suppliers and ensuring adherence to best practice principles and ITIL processes and policies.
In this role, you will balance project deliverables with business support requirements, ensuring projects are delivered and high levels of customer support are maintained.
The department utilises ITIL best practice principles and the role holder will be expected to follow these processes to ensure a good level of customer service.
What you'll need:
To succeed in this role, you will have a can-do attitude and be flexible and open to change.
An excellent understanding of common network services, including Directory Name Service (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and load-balancing techniques.
Extensive Experience in troubleshooting at all levels in the networking area would be beneficial. You will also be aware of next-generation firewalls.Ideally, you'll have previous experience managing a team of Network Engineers or a similar IT discipline. Consideration will be given if you have team-leading experience in social, sporting or volunteering groups.
Additionally, you'll be excellent at communicating with all levels of the business, while also being a great team player.
We will expect you to have some experience working in an ITIL support environment, as well as being comfortable working unsupervised.
