    Job Description

    Holmes Institute UK (HIUK) is seeking an energetic individual with excellent teaching skills to fill the position of Programme Director for our MSc in Information Systems.

    The successful candidate will work with a high-performing team to contribute to the development of learning and teaching within the Institute.

    The Programme Director will be responsible for the operation and development of the postgraduate Information Systems degree (delivered in London and online), as well as lecturing on the programme.

    Holmes Education Group is a global provider of education established in Melbourne in 1963.

    Holmes Institute UK is the newest Holmes Institute set up to deliver high-quality, employability-focussed higher education programmes in a superior location in the centre of London.

    Roles and Responsibilities
    Teaching on a number of modules in Information Systems.

    Overseeing the use of Blackboard for the programme and ensuring all module content and assessment briefs are current and accessible.

    Supervision, management and support of tutors and lecturers on the programme

    Ensuring the appropriate teaching, learning and assessment strategies are implemented and that modules are taught and assessed in accordance with the Approved Programme Schedule.

    Ensuring module assessment deadlines are coordinated and workload is distributed.
    Oversee the internal moderation process.
    Ensuring moderated assessment briefs are available to learners in good time.
    Sit on institute Boards and Committees as required.
    Essential Skills and Qualifications
    A PhD or higher degree in Information Systems, IT or related field.
    Experienced lecturer/tutor.
    Experience in programme management in Higher Education.
    Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
    Demonstrated commitment to education and life-long learning.
    Can demonstrate integrity and resourcefulness.
    Can work independently and manage a team.

    Organised and meticulous:
    This is a combined teaching and administrative role, so keeping on top of a varied workload is essential.

    Knowledgeable and willing to keep learning: You should possess knowledge of the Higher Education system in Ireland.
    Service-oriented: You respond quickly and accurately to a range of enquiries from colleagues and customers alike.
    The role is based in our London office in the heart of Soho. Home/remote working is not available with this position.
