- Participating in the day to day running of the shop on an individual and team basis.
- Delivering excellent customer service by promptly greeting or acknowledging the client, and identifying their needs through asking open questions.
- Talking confidently and passionately about our products and act as a Hatter/Consultant to those who require this service.
- Being pro-active in driving sales and looking for opportunities to add on sales at all times.
- Liaising with other members of the team to communicate new products, and liaise with them regarding stock availability.
- Ensuring the store displays are clean and tidy, to a very high standard.
- Operating the till and accurately handling cash and credit/debit cards.
- Responding in a timely manner to orders received by telephone and e-mail, processing the sale efficiently, and packaging orders correctly and to company standards.
- Receive deliveries, unpack and count them off correctly against manifest.
- Be vigilant at all times to help reduce stock loss.
- Help maintain and ensure window displays are correct and relevant.
- Liaise and support the Retail Manager to prepare and undertake stock take.
- Increase brand loyalty through communicating the culture of the brand and showing a true passion for Lock & Co. Hatters.
- Increase hatting knowledge through training and self-learning.
- Keep up to date with current trends/fashions.

Salary:
£24-26k based on experience, plus monthly bonus scheme after probation.
Annual Leave: 24 days pro-rata, plus 8 bank holidays.
A Hatter in Lock and Co. Hatters reports directly into the Retail Manager.
