If you are a newly qualified nurse, we will support you during your first 12 months with our Preceptorship programme. This offers structured personal and professional development as you transition to registered practice and includes a supernumerary period, Introduction to Professional Practice (IPP), and a bespoke education pathway for all our clinical areas.
Main duties of the job
Therole is to provide and be responsible for the assessment, planning,implementation & evaluation of individualised family centred, infant, childor young person focused programmes of care. You will deliver care withoutsupervision & take responsibility as the prime care provider for a group ofpatients & at all times promote confidence in our commitment to provideexcellent compassionate family centred, infant, child or young person focusedpatient care. The role will involve taking charge of the ward or department asnecessary in the absence of the Sister or Charge Nurse. You will participate inthe in-service training, preceptorship & mentorship of junior staff, postbasic learners & students as well as maintaining your personal development.The jobholder will work within an environment caring for infants/neonates,children and or young people in providing child or young person focused care.
