Description
Excellence in clinical practice and nursing care is promoted across all areasThe matron will make a proactive contribution to planning for and improving futures services, and take an active lead in project management.
The matron, working with the General Manager Patient Access, and General Manager of diagnostics and will lead the quality and standards of care agenda within the identified directorate/specialty, particularly providing assurance around compliance with regulatory and internal standards of care.
The matron will ensure effective departmental processes are in place and that patient flow enhances the quality of patient care, experience and outcomes.
This role will operate within the clinical governance framework of the organisation and will work in a collaborative approach with the multidisciplinary team in the interests of developing and promoting high quality patient care.

Evidence in developing a quality improvement programme within a multi-professional environment
