    As the USA Sales Manager, you will manageexisting and develop new accounts across the US and Canada; utilising thetrusted dealer, distributor network and Rep groups in delivering thehighest quality products to a very demanding market.

    You will drive newsales and have a thorough understanding of new opportunities, representingthe brand to the highest of standards.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Work with keybusinesses, such as, Distributors, Dealers, Rep Groups, OEMs, Refit yards,to grow existing and develop new sales. – Working to exceed agreedsales targets. Provide product training where necessary and manageintroduction of new products and prices.

    Boat Show management –overseeing the US & Canadian boat shows, trade shows and DistributorShows and attending where necessary any events relevant to growth.

    Extensive travel, with some potential for long periods away from UK,supporting distributors, OEMs and Rep Groups within the US and Canada;attending sales meetings, promoting product range and identifying salesgrowth opportunities both in and outside of the marine sector.

    Prepareannual sales strategy, travel plan and budget and agree with Group SalesDirector. Work with the marketing department to support US market and USstrategy for growth.

    Report directly to the Group Sales Director withmonthly sales reports; highlighting any new business opportunities,promotional ideas and issues; current sales trends and sales vs.

    budgetfigures. Build and maintain a good relationship with customer base. Createnew customer opportunities.

    Sell products into new applications within theindustry, understanding the core products and their application, assistingwith technical support to distributor network and clients direct.

    Sharemarket feedback to products, trends and opportunities direct to thecommercial team. Assist with market research for new product development.
    Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience The ideal candidate will haveexperience in Marine industry, preferably Leisure Marine. Experience inmanaging sales network (especially in the US & Canada), includingdistributors and OEMs. Determination to set and meet high standards,exceeding norms and expectations. The ability to speak and write to beclearly understood by others, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar andstyle.

    The ability to recognise both internal and external customers andthe willingness to co-operate with them fully in order to help them achievetheir objectives.

    Ability to make and maintain a good impression on others.

    The ability to persuade or influence other people to accept a point ofview, to adopt a specific agenda or to take a course of action.

    Willingnessto develop and exploit a range of productive relationships both inside andoutside the team. Motivation to apply and develop one's own professionaland technical knowledge and to share this expertise with others.
