    Job DescriptionWhat You'll DoTheCompliance Specialistwillsupport the SeniorExport ControlManager, Corporate Complianceand work with a wide range of internaland externalcustomers tosupportcompliance and best practice in activities.

    The successful candidate will alsoprovide support to the Senior Manager, Corporate Compliance onthe administration associated with such compliance for other Group policies including the Group Legal Compliance Programme, Competition Policy, Sensitive Information Policy and similar related policies.

    The candidate willalso provide support in the administrative requirements of theUK Bribery Act,U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)and any other anti-corruption national regulations applicable to Viasat's facilities across the business.

    The day-to-dayFocal point for the UK administration and control of the export ofcontrolled goods, software andtechnology, including associated communications to affected parties, to providethebest possible support to anyaffected business process or transactionSupport the Compliance team by performing Know Your Customer (KYC) checksEnsure all systems and foldersfor monitoring and controlling areutilisedand maintained in accordance with the processesSupporting theSenior Export Control Manageron matters of compliance, especially with regards to areas listed in greater detail belowEnsure that policies and proceduresare adhered to, and all required registrations are properly maintainedMaintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulations affecting the UK, EU and USWork well as part of a small team which encompasses multiple functions within itArranging authorisation signatures and keeping complete records of all TAA support activitiesProvide admin support to the compliance team including maintaining training records and for local staffProvide and maintain metrics as definedby theSenior Export Control ManagerConduct annual self-assessments to identify gaps and areas of risk across all areas of involvement and communicate these to theteamSupport theSeniorExport Control Managerto perform internalexport controlaudits on each of Viasat's main exporting hubs, including Norway, The Netherlands, Singapore and UKSupport theSenior Export Control Managerand other parts of the organization on specific projects as appropriateQualificationsWhat you'll NeedAwareness, knowledge and experience required to understand and provide guidanceinexporting and importing dual-use and defence articles, technology and services under- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)- Export Administration Regulations (EAR)- Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)- UK Export Control Regulations (Military and Dual-Use)- EU Export Control Regulations (Dual-Use)Experience in Export ControlKnowledge of Sanctioned Party ScreeningAwarenessof Anti-corruption & Anti-bribery regulationsExcellent communication skillsExperienced with working with staff all levels of the organisationAccurate, perfectionist natureWhat Will Help You On The JobKnowledge of SAPKnowledge ofAEB Assist 4Knowledge of HMRC regulations and proceduresKnowledge of Norwegian Export RegulationsKnowledge of Netherlands Export RegulationsKnowledge of Singapore Export RegulationsAdditional InformationYou must be eligible to work in this location advertised.
